General questions Expand All / Collapse All
- How many referrals will I get per month?
This will depend on the package you choose, the services you provide and the location of your practice. In our experience physiotherapy practices will notice an immediate increase in referrals. Practices will see a further increase after a few months once their website has become established.
- I’ve found the right package, how do I pay you?
Our preferred method of payment is via our secure website, which accepts all major credit/debit cards. Alternative payment methods can be arranged on request.
- I already have a website I'm happy with can you help me get to the top of the search engine results?
Yes. As well as designing websites, Physio123 specialise in getting websites to the top of search engines. Please see our SEO packages.
- Do I have to choose the add-ons I want straight away, or can I add them at a later date?
You can add them at any time.
- Me and my friend are both physiotherapists, living in the same area, can we set up our business together?
Yes. This is no problem. Partnerships are a good idea allowing you to start up a business with the support of another person. The price of our packages remain the same no matter how many people are involved.
- I graduated last year and still haven’t found a job, I’m very interested in your PhysioOne package but I don’t have a clinic, am I ok to provide a home visit service?
Yes. This is a lot more common now that NHS jobs are scarce, and many graduates have set up private practices with great success. Home visits are a popular way to start a physio service and many physiotherapy clinics started up this way.
- I am interested in private practice, but worried about extra insurance I will need, can you help?
Yes, generally your insurance is provided by your CSP membership and this will be more than sufficient. For partnerships, limited companies and practices employing other physiotherapists, additional insurance maybe required.
- I’ve been with you for two years, can I upgrade to your PhysioTwo package?
Yes, please ask about our discount for our loyal customers.
- What happens if I don’t want to continue for whatever reason?
All our packages have no contract, allowing you to cancel at any time, without incurring any charges.
- I already own two physiotherapy clinics, but I am not running at full capacity, will you be able to help?
Yes, Physio123 specialise in generating new business for existing physiotherapy practices. We can create your online presence through website development, graphic design and online marketing. Yes, Physio123 understand that many people would like to try out our services before choosing a package. We therefore allow physiotherapists to try out our PhysioOne package free for 3 months.
- I am a Senior II physio working full time in the NHS, but I’m thinking about starting private practice. Is your service suitable for me to see private patients in my spare time?
Yes. We would highly recommend our PhysioOne package, This allows you to test the market in your area before you commit full time. The benefit of self employment is that you can fit your private work around your other commitments.
- If I assess a patient that I need advice on, can I ring you for help?
Physio123 is an online marketing & development service and, therefore, does not give any clinical advice.
- I’d like to go into private practice but I’m worried about not getting any patients.
This is a common fear that prevents many people going into private practice. Setting up in business is never without risk, however it is very rare for a physiotherapist to struggle to find patients. Provided you don’t live in a remote area, and you’re willing to work hard, with our help we are confident of your success.
- I’ve been a physio for the NHS for ten years, and I’m now leaving to spend more time with my daughter, will I be able to arrange my private work around my commitments?
Yes, the advantage of being your own boss is you can choose when you want to work. Fitting in other commitments such as family becomes easier. Some people choose not to work mornings, or only work weekdays, you can be as flexible as you like.
- I signed up with you 6 months ago, but have decided to work abroad, can I sell my practice?
Physio123 allow free transfer of your account to the new owner.

- How long before I can expect to see results from your marketing campaign?
Physio123 have two marketing strategies; a short-term strategy that will reap immediate benefits, and a long-term strategy that will have a significant impact over time. Using these two strategies, you will see immediate results that continue to improve.
- Will you do all my marketing for me?

- I already have a website, can Physio123 help me to promote my website?

- How does search engine marketing generate more business for my practice?
The objective of search engine marketing is to drive more people to your website. Simply, the more visitors your website gets, the more likely your practice is to generate new patients.
Consider these facts:
- In 2009 there was on average 301,000 searches in the UK every month for physiotherapy.
- When looking for a private physiotherapist most people now turn to searching the internet.
- The more visits your website gets from people in your area looking for a physiotherapist, the more patients you will get. It’s that simple!
Millions of people in the UK are going online looking for answers to their health problems. So your practice needs to be positioned high on the search engines to drive these people to your website where they can learn how you will solve their problems.
- Do private physiotherapy practices really get more business with search engine marketing?
Yes. The Bottom line is, if your practice is not coming up for physiotherapy related searches in your area you are losing new patients to your competitors.
- What is the difference between the SEO package and the Adwords package?
Adwords and SEO are both different marketing techniques that we use to increase the amount of new patient referrals for your practice.
SEO package:
Our SEO package provides long term results. Physio123 will improve the volume and quality of traffic to your website from search engines via "natural" or "organic" search results. This means that over time more and more people looking for physiotherapy in your area will end up viewing your website and you will get more patients.
Adwords package:
Adwords provide immediate results for physiotherapy practices. Done correctly, an Adwords campaign will give your practice an immediate increase in new patient referrals. Adwords are the ads you see in the top and right hand column of the search engine results page. Physio123 bid on "keywords" that we know your target market type in the search bar when they are looking for physiotherapy or have a problem that physiotherapy can help with. When someone clicks on your ad we pay Google a given bid amount, and the visitor will be automatically taken to your website.
SEO or Adwords?
Both are helpful and will compliment eachother if done correctly, and provide your practice with a steady stream of new patient referrals.
- Why should I SEO my website?
The reason you want to SEO your website is so that your practice comes at the top of the search engine results page when someone searches for:
- Your practice
- Keywords that relate to your practice (eg physiotherapist in your area)
- Keywords that relate to the services you offer (acupuncture, hydrotherapy, massage)
- Keywords that relate to problems you help (eg back pain, knee pain)
Google’s studies tell us that people look at the natural results first. Take a look at this heat map. The "hotter" areas are where people fix their eyes on the page. As you can see, people tend to look at the natural results region of the results page.
The cost of SEO is a fixed cost. You pay a setup and monthly fee and your costs do not increase whether one person clicks on your link or ten thousand people click on your search link.
If your website is well optimised it will show up on a large number of other websites. This has a snowball effect and your website will gather momentum and rank higher and higher for physiotherapy related searches in your area. This will make it a very established website and difficult for other physiotherapy practices to compete against. This will also mean that the amount of new patients generated from your website will increase month by month.
- Why should I have an Adwords campaign?
Here are five reasons why you should have an Adwords campaign:
- Adwords campaigns produce immediate results.
- Your website advert will show up when someone in your location types in a broad search phrase like "physiotherapy".
- Specific advertising phrases can be displayed in response to a specific search phrase. For example, if someone types in the search phrase "physiotherapy for low back pain in london", the ad you might display is "Physio helps low back pain – Treatment in London".
- With a well managed campaign you can almost guarantee that your ads will show up.
- You can choose to have your ads display only to people in your practice's local radius. This is a huge advantage as it will limit your financial outlay.
